A bombshell in sex offender culture, this documentary series by Frederik Brun Madsen exposes sexual harassment in Danish political youth parties. I was approached by long time collaborator Tómas Gislason to initially salvage the raw material from a sea of hard drives (having digital technical magical prowess as well) and get it online in edits. Long story short, we succeeded and I was able to start coloring this narrative. From the onset it was evident that these girls and women taking center stage were fragile and traumatized by the preceding circumstances and I took a protective approach to the images, nuzzled each person with care and respect, warming their surroundings, cozying it up a bit and put a good load of beauty work into it, juxtaposed by the grotesque reenactments that I decided to poison up, make otherworldly, foreign, strange. The results are brilliant and the series is nominated for TV-prisen 2021.
