Linus Mørk has followed and documented renowned archaeologist Eske Willerslev for 10 years, resulting in two seasons of an enlightening documentary series. I had the pleasure of both coloring and creating motion designs for the first season. My work on season two was entirely motion design-based. From simple travel sequences to creating a dusty, viscouse bone-like universe needed for visualizing the work of sequencing genetic material; an effort to enable better understanding of the scientific processes involved. A lot of time and love went into figuring out how we would capture the sometimes obscure insights these methods entail.
